This is a simple dish that anyone can cook. The beef shank will provide you with lots of protein that can help in aiding the buildup of muscles and strength. This is the favorite of Manny Pacquiao during his training period.

The ingredients are 1 kilo of bee shank, some potatoes, half head of cabbage, small piece of ginger and salt (or fish sauce depending on your taste). Boil the shank in water together with the ginger and salt until the beef becomes tender. Add the potatoes and later the sliced cabbage for a delicious beef soup. Nice to eat with steamed rice.

Yes, you are right. It is a good dish paired with rice. I love the taste of the beef together with the vegetables. However, we need to be extra careful with eating this kind of dish because beef is high in cholesterol. Its not good for the body. Everything should be in moderation.
