What's Your Take On Jeet Kune Do?
« on: August 27, 2018, 06:08:00 PM »
Jeet Kune Do or The Way of The Intercepting Fist was developed by the late Bruce Lee, who everyone knows, as a serious martial artist and movie star in the 60's until his controversial death in the early 70's.

This style of fighting is a collaboration of Chinese Wing Chun, Boxing, Western Fencing, Jujitsu and Street fighting and relies on fists, finger jabs and low kicks.

My take on it is that It's not a competition kind of style, it's for street fighting, and it's really an offensive style.  What I like about it is its interception techniques.

I am not familiar with the Jeet Kune Do even if I watched Bruce Lee's movie. He is one of my favorite martial art artist. I like his style and technique. I think that any form of martial arts will be of great advantage especially in self defense. It only takes discipline and determination to succeed in this form of art. It should be use responsibly.
