Warm up exercises

Warm up exercises

It is important to do the warm up before proceeding to the main exercise or workout. One friend had a pulled muscle in the knee that needed therapy of 3 weeks. My warm up consists of bending and stretching plus the walking (inside our living room) just to sweat out a bit before going with the dumbbells. What do you do for the warm up?

Normally 10mins on treadmill or cross trainer is suffice for warm up, just to get the heart rate up and muscles warmed up.

I usually do stretching and bending as my warm up exercises. This help the muscle relax and flexible to be ready for the activity. I don't have much pain. I like the sound of the joints everything I stretch, twist and bend the body parts. It feels safe and its a nice feeling when you do exercises.

Stretching and dancing are my warm up before I start serious exercise.
