Sports Fanatic / Spain wins FIBA world cup 2019
« on: September 16, 2019, 02:05:02 AM »
With a disciplined play and strong defense, Spain beat Argentina by 20 points in the championship game to claim the trophy of the FIBA world cup 2019. It was a fitting finish for Spain that made Argentina play like amateurs. Spain will definitely be the favorite next time.

General Training Forum / Re: Proper workout attire
« on: September 16, 2019, 01:33:13 AM »
Truly it is the comfort of the body that is paramount in the attire. Maybe that is the reason why some guys are topless not to show their abs and muscles but to be more comfortable in the workout. But how about the women who are engaged to heavy workouts, what to wear?

General Topics / Re: Favorite Physical Sport to play or watch
« on: September 15, 2019, 08:30:03 AM »
recently I enjoyed watching sumo wrestling, before when I think of sumo wrestling it's just a bunch of big white fat Japanese who tries to push one or another outside of the ring, I didn't really understand their ritual and I thought that the game was so much simple and most likely that big guys wins because they are so much big that his opponents will have a hard time taking him out, but recently. I have learn that it is not about just pushing your opponent but also outsmarting them, making them fall is also a way to defeat them, that even small person can out win a big guy in this game. it is quite interesting and fun to watch.

My husband loves sumo that he watches in the NHK channel on cable. He said that sumo wrestling is an art which is not really brutal but involves strength and style of movement. Once a wrestler's body hits the ground then that's the end of the bout.

Women's Forum / Re: Wearing revealing attire in the gym
« on: September 15, 2019, 07:58:24 AM »
I guess a revealing outfit is common in the gym. My point in this is the showing of flesh and muscles which obviously pertains to bragging. Maybe I am not a fan of the gym because I admit that I haven't tried the gym yet but I have seen several gyms already with the workout and training that were really tedious.

General Topics / Re: I don't have time to train...
« on: September 15, 2019, 07:10:52 AM »
I always think the same before.. that almost all the time, we feel that we don't have time to do something, like to train.. but if we reflect on the things that we have done that day, you will find yourself that you haven't done enough and that you still have time.
there will always be a time, but your eagerness to make time really matters for you to be able to train.

I guess it depends on your status in life. For single people I'm sure they can find the time for doing not only the workout but for things that they like to do. For older people who have a family to take care of there really isn't much time to spare for yourself and that is the reality of life in this senior age.

Technology / Re: Gaming for livelihood
« on: September 15, 2019, 07:08:30 AM »
Gaming is a new industry and it is normal for parents to frown on their children who forgo their studies because we have to admit that school is still the best direction for the young ones. Besides, not all good players could win grand tournaments to earn millions of dollars. And what happens to ordinary players?

General Training Forum / Re: Mr. Olympia 2019

The favorites to win are the top 5 from last year's contest - Shawn Roden, Phil Heath, Roelly Winklaar, William Bonac, Brandon Curry. But there's a newcomer named Hadi Choopan who can be the dark horse in the Mr. Olympia 2019.

Nutrition & Dieting / Re: Eggs for Protein
« on: September 14, 2019, 10:15:51 AM »
In a casual conversation with a physician the other day, I was adv8sed to be aware of my consumption of eggs because of my high cholesterol level. The maximum for me is once a week of 2 eggs only. I was surprised by that advice.

General Topics / Driving alone to relieve stress
« on: September 14, 2019, 09:28:11 AM »
This may sound weird but sometimes I get the urge to drive with no direction just to relax my mind. It is very effective for me although I know that it is not really good to drive when I have many conflicts on my mind.

Sports Fanatic / Rod Laver tennis cup 2019
« on: September 14, 2019, 09:21:54 AM »
The Rod Laver cup is like the Ryders Cup in golf where only 2 teams will be competing. Team Europe headed by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will compete against Team World with John McEnroe as team captain.

Technology / The solar plane
« on: September 14, 2019, 09:17:29 AM »
Don't laugh because this is not a joke. A solar plane is undergoing thorough testing but I guess it is just to give impact to solar energy. The plane is quite big for a solo flight for it has to have solar panels on the wings. It was able to fly a hundred miles in good weather.

Fighters' Forum / Re: Do you watch mixed martial arts bouts?
« on: September 13, 2019, 01:22:25 PM »
The mention of broken bones reminds me of one fight that I saw in UFC middleweight division. A championship bout betweem former champion Anderson Silva and current champion Chris Weidman. Silva released a low kick that Weidman blocked with his knee. The leg of Silva broke.

Technology / Re: Getting dependent on gadgets
« on: September 13, 2019, 09:53:06 AM »
At least most of us admit our dependence on the gadget. In the future all of us may not be able to survive without the gadget since business transactions would be done with the gadget. Even now some payments use the phone instead of the credit card.

Bodybuilding Recipes / Beef casserole
« on: September 13, 2019, 08:43:46 AM »
This is our special recipe for beef casserole. Aside from the beef, you will need red tomatoes, soy sauce, garlic and potatoes. Boil the beef in the crushed red tomatoes plus the crushed garlic and the soy sauce. Add water when needed until the beef is tender. Fry the beef together with the potatoes
and return to the casserole when cooked. It's nice to eat with steamed rice and vegetable salad.

I like the pool because it has not much hazard as the beach although I admit that the beach and the sand are more enjoyable. In our last beach outing this summer, there was a lost child in the beach that we presumed to have drowned. That's what I don't want in a beach.
