Gaming for livelihood

I envy the younger generation for they have the opportunity to earn by playing video games. From what I have heard, a good player can earn credit points and can sell those points to earn money. That's aside from joining competition with prize money.

everybody has their opportunity when we were young, I guess some just pursue what they loved to do and become really really good at it.
I have watch so many competitive gaming players who were disowned by their parents because they choose to play for living rather than do the easy path, and now the fruits of their labor has show most of them are internationally renown player which is a big star in the competition.. I wonder if the parent would have helped this players attain their dream.. I wonder how far can this players reached.

Gaming is a new industry and it is normal for parents to frown on their children who forgo their studies because we have to admit that school is still the best direction for the young ones. Besides, not all good players could win grand tournaments to earn millions of dollars. And what happens to ordinary players?
