Training and exercise to form muscles?
« on: August 30, 2018, 02:30:25 PM »
I just started running last month and I'm planning to develop muscles in my arms. What exercise and training can you recommend for women to develop muscles in arms? (Exercise and training aside from lifting weights)

When I was active in my daily exercise it was the dumbbell that I was using to have a little muscle on my arms particularly the biceps. It's not really much muscle but somehow there is the good tone that is visible. But if you are more active that I was then maybe you can lift  more weight or you can use the spring exerciser. It is the spring that you pull with your hands to give stress to the muscles in both your arms.

Running for burning fat, and push ups for the body!

I recommend push-ups, plank, and tricep dips. These are exercises with no equipment needed but difficult to apply if you are a beginner. But over time, when these exercises are done habitually, then you will gain more strength and have eased in doing those stated activities.

I have been hearing the term plank or planking. Last month when we were on a family vacation, my niece was talking to her cousin about planking that she needed it to have a little abs for their forthcoming swimming trip. I may be left behind by the trend since all I know are the push ups and the sit ups for the muscles.

Using dumbbells really helps to develop muscles and also doing push ups.

I have small muscles on my arms and I am scared they will be bigger if I decide to go the gym. I do not want to look masculine. I used to do pushups 5 years ago. I encourage you to do more house chores and lift up things if the gym is not for you. You can eat more proteins too. Proteins help in muscles growth. Eat more vegetables and fruits too.

I encourage you not to exercise if you have not eaten. When you do so you will grow thinner instead of growing muscles.

Lifting is one way of forming a muscle in the arms. It can be toned and eventually grow muscles with the use of dumbells. You can also do push ups and pull ups to gain muscles. You might also considered boxing for much leaner and toned muscles. Your arms will be stronger and a good exercise for the chest.

What do you mean "you will grow thinner" ... it's a big myth that training in a fasted state will help you get thin or lose more fat.
