Be aware of pulled muscle
« on: May 31, 2019, 02:51:18 AM »
I have a high school chum who is now manager of a gym in the mall. When she learned of the bulge on my right calf, she said that I should stop lifting weights and also quit on biking. The bulge may be caused by pulled muscle that has been abused so the swollen muscle did not vanish anymore. This is to warn the reader not to abuse your body when doing physical activities. Fortunately the bulge on my calf is not painful although I apply warm compress at night to make it smaller on the next morning.

Hi, just confused as you mentioned in another post you do no physical activity whatsoever and now here you mention you do biking/weights...  ::)

Nevertheless the advice I can give is, always remember to warm up before training and stretch afterwards - it helps with injury prevention.

I am thankful that I haven't experienced extreme pain or injury in any of my exercises. I always make sure to start with stretching and bending on daily basis. I choose to swim because it made me relax. I feel rejuvenated every time I stay in water. It can easily lose weigh and tone muscle without being hurt. I also love to take a walk/ hike on daily basis while taking photos of people, streets, buildings, flowers, vehicles and scenery. I am embracing life in a healthy lifestyle.
