I've always been a keen fitness enthusiast and have remained in relatively great health throughout my life but upon recently becoming a dad again I let my health slip. Due to the hectic lifestyle of juggling work and life at home, I felt I was just going through the motions at times in the gym and let my diet slip a little leading to some fat gain.


At this point I knew I had to do something as this is not the type of role model I wanted to be for the many youngsters who looked up to me for fitness advice in my community.


I had to organise my training sessions well and make sure nutrition was on point. I was worried that being a vegetarian I'd lose muscle mass whilst dieting. I had to pay extra attention to my protein intake whilst in calorie deficit to ensure I was getting enough to train with the right intensity as well as recover from my sessions.


At the end I managed to lose 15kg of weight, I feel more energetic, feel happier, more confident and overall healthier. 


Considering the above, I'm very pleased with how things turned out. I'm looking forward to building on this and bettering this next year.
